All tracks have at least 3-5 loop points that have been marked
in SoundEdit 16 except for the first bank of New Age sounds that are too
dreamy and ethereal to loop precisely. To create a loop for the sounds in
that bank, your best bet is to crossfade. In most other cases, we have marked
the intro, verse, bridge, and outro, so that what you really have is a condensed
song that can be expanded substantially maintaining musical sense and freshness.
Intros and outros have been created to function as stingers. To insure easy
looping, we have taken extra effort to make sure that there are no hanging
cymbal crashes or string lines across musical phrases. Of course, there
are many loop points possible other than the ones we have marked.
To access predigitized files , press the digital audio button
located just above the stop button on the CD player interface in the upper
right quadrant of your screen. You should see two buttons labeled 11Khz
and 22Khz. Simply select the one you want in the format you want. Use SoundEdit
Pro files when you want to do editing and to see the Musical Phrase Change
Markers (we call them MPC Markers). Use AIFF when importing into authoring
programs.
Save your edited file as an AIFF file and import that into Director or other
authoring programs. If the sound file is fine the way it is, import the
AIFF file directly off the disk from your program or press the Copy to Disk
button to automatically save it in a file on the top level of your hard
drive.
To use Red Book Audio, select the Red Book Audio button next to the Digital
Audio button. Play the disk from your CDROM or CD player just as you would
listen to your favorite artist and use a 16 bit digitizing card from a third
party to create a file. With this option, one can use HiRez Audio on either
Mac or PC platforms.
